SEMINARS DURING THE SHOW

The following seminars are being provided during trade show move-in times and show times in order to enhance your success. Monday's seminar is compulsory for all first time exhibitors. Please ensure you are there. We look forward to seeing you attend.

SEMINAR #2 - “Exporting Basics”

Tuesday August 23rd – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday August 24th – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

HOW TO REGISTER

Pre-registration is advised. Register at seminar (space available basis) 30 minutes prior to seminar starting time.

Move In

Monday, August 22nd 8:00 am - 11:00pm

Before unloading - go to information centre to check in with Tradeshow Manager - You will receive your badges and show kit, along with a floorplan.

Use loading dock (roll up door) in the Northwest Corner of the Convention Centre Bldg. (Edmonton St. one way north) & (St. Mary's Avenue one way west), (Carlton St. one way south) if you have a lot to bring, otherwise you can use any other entrance . Please ensure you have booked a dock time in advance, to avoid waiting and over crowding. There will be approx. 6 dollies there, but if you have your own you will not have to possibly wait

Other entrance points :

When entering the main area on the ground floor there is a security desk who will direct you to the Uniquely Manitoba areas, on the Main Floor. The access doors into the trade show will be between meeting room 10 & 11

First Floor Expanded Doorways

York Avenue Ground Floor Main Entrance 11 feet wide x 7 feet high
Room 5 South Entrance 13 feet wide x 10 feet high
Room 13 Northwest Corner (Overhead door) 11' 11" wide by 13' 5" high

The primary function room is designed not only to accommodate meetings and banquets, but can also be utilized for trade shows. In order to accommodate large pieces of equipment and specialty displays, three entrances have expanded doorways. The main York Avenue entrance door measures 11 feet wide x 7 feet high and requires the placement of plywood over the floor grates. The southeast oak door entrance to Room 5 (from the southeast concourse) measures 13 feet wide x 10 feet in height. In Room 13 (northwest corner) an overhead doorway measures 11 feet 11 inches wide by 13 feet 5 inches in height. This door provides direct access to the first floor loading dock (loading dock doors 7 feet 9 inches wide x 8 feet 8 inches high) and the west side freight elevator. The freight elevator measures 7 feet 6 inches wide x 7 feet 10 inches in height. The standard doorways of the meeting rooms are 5 feet wide x 6 feet 10 inches high.

After Move-in please check back at information centre to have booth checked off by Tradeshow Manager.

Booth Awards

There are awards for exhibitors in the following categories:

Best Booth Design

Best Group Presentation

Best Gallery Showing

Best Specialty Food

People's Choice Awards

Judging will occur Tuesday, August 23rd, in the afternoon - with Celebrity judges

Presentations will be made during the V.I.P Reception Tuesday 4:00-6:00pm

People's Choice award is selected through ballots submitted by wholesale buyers, this award will be presented Wednesday 3:30pm on the Show Floor.

Open to the Public Wednesday, August 24th 4:00-7:00pm

The show will become open to the public at 4pm on Wednesday. Starting at 3pm you will be able to access the storage area, for additional merchandise. Access is only available through show staff. Please see Tradeshow Manager at the Information Centre for access.

Move-Out Wednesday, August 24th

Crates, boxes and packing material cannot be removed from the storage area until 6:30 pm. Dismantling of booths or crating of product is not permitted until 6:30 pm and must be removed from the show hall by 11:00 pm. Materials cannot be left within the Convention Centre premises overnight. No exceptions will be made. You are asked to ensure that you have available staff to provide assistance for move-out.
