As her interest in her Metis background grew, she began to focus on leather crafts. Demand for her work increased and Yvette's hobby became her full-time career. She expanded her knowledge and expertise to other traditional forms of work. Today, in addition to bead work and leathercraft, she also does caribou hair tufting, quill work and birch bark biting.
